Core Donates Work and Material to Support Homeless Youth Downtown

Core Contractors, Inc. helps reopen “the door” for a local owned business that serves the homeless youths of downtown Denver. The Purple Door Coffee House in Five Points was recently vandalized and the front door, the businesses’ namesake, needed full repair. Core Contractor’s Inc’s partner, Andrew Schmidt, is a strong supporter of the Purple Door’s mission to support homeless youths in downtown Denver that don’t want to be street kids and want to improve their lives. The Purple Door is a transitional job opportunity for a period of six to 12 months, which is the time owners Madison Chandler and Mark Smesrud think it takes to train and graduate kids into a more permanent job in the community. To support this mission Core Contractors donated the work and material to fix the Purple Door, and get their iconic door back in tip top shape.
